Jade Williams, otherwise known as Sunday Girl, is the British pop songstress whose style we love. Ahead of her fashion-forward appearance at the Emporio Armani Summer Garden Live event, we persuaded her to reveal all about the inner workings of her wardrobe...

How would you describe your style?
Parisian, tailored, masculine, 60s (at times) classic and simple.
What is there too much of in your wardrobe?
Shirts! I have a real thing for them, oh and loafers.
Which are your favourite London stores?
Cos, it's so classic but with a cool twist. Also TopShop, Zara and, for vintage, Brick Lane.
Tell us a secret - where do you shop that no-one else knows about?
I have found this weird garage/shop out the back of a butchers that sells seconds of designer shoes. I feel like Del Boy when i go there! It's so good
What are your go-to labels?
I am lucky enough to borrow clothes. I think you can't go wrong with anything classic and cool.
What's the most treasured possession
My mum's vintage Cartier watch she gave me.
Do you plan your outfits or throw on whatever's to hand?
A bit of both really? When I go to parties I do try and plan. My friend Alex comes round before hand and has a good old bitch about what I'm trying on, which strangely helps! Day to day I find the least thought-out outfits always look best.
What are you happiest wearing?
A nice pair of tailored trousers, a stripy jumper and big coat. I love winter clothes.
Whose wardrobe would you love to steal?
Daphne Guiness maybe? I love to collect curiosities and things and I feel like her style is how I would translate that side of my personality into my clothes. As simple as I like to dress there is a side to me that would like to dress like Daphne. Oh, and who wouldn't want Coco Chanel’s wardrobe?
How do you organise your wardrobe?
I like to say it's organised chaos, well thats my excuse! It's a complete mess.
Where do you look for inspiration if you don't know what to wear?
Magazines like ELLE help me try new things. It's very easy to stick with what you know but it's good to push it and add a new trend to an outfit. Also street style blogs are quite inspirational. And I don't think you can beat borrowing your friend's clothes as a new wardrobe is inspirational!
Have you ever had a stylist and, if so, what are the best tips they've ever given you?
I have a stylist for videos but that's it. The best advice she ever gave me was 'Jade, never ever wear those granny tights again.' I never did.
